Zeyneba is from Ethiopia. She needs a loan of $175 to buy an ox for her farm.
Zeyneba Goshu successfully operates a small farm. She would like to expand her production and her income but does not have working capital to do so.
With a loan from World Vision, Zeyneba can buy an ox and increase the output of her farm. The additional income she earns will enable her to pay school fees for her three children. As her farming business continues to grow, she would also like to raise cattle.
The Agriculture business sector covers all farming and livestock activities. Some entrepreneurs request loans to help in securing supplies and equipment. Others want to buy more animals to breed or purchase feed and medicines. The majority of our loan clients live in rural communities where agriculture is already understood as a business model. It is for this reason that approximately 50% of our loans are in the agricultural sector.
