Adanech's Story

Adanech Fitebo is a hardworking mother of four. She enjoys farming and sells high quality crops. She knows she can make a profit through hardwork and that she will be successful. As she explains, "I want to supply various types of crops to the local market." Though she is eager to grow her business, due to serious financial constraints, she has not been able to.

With the loan from World Vision, Adanech will be able to expand her business and increase her income. This will allow her to better provide for children, improve their living conditions, and help her dream of owning a home come true. In the future, she plans to raise cattle which will enable her to generate a higher income.

Industry Info

The Agriculture business sector covers all farming and livestock activities. Some entrepreneurs request loans to help in securing supplies and equipment. Others want to buy more animals to breed or purchase feed and medicines. The majority of our loan clients live in rural communities where agriculture is already understood as a business model. It is for this reason that approximately 50% of our loans are in the agricultural sector.

Thank you for supporting a small business loan for Adanech Fitebo to expand her farming business. After receiving the loan from World Vision, she invested the $175 to buy fertilizer for maximizing her harvest.

Adanech has been repaying her loan on time with her new profits. She makes weekly payments of $3.

In addition to repaying her loan, Adanech is using additional income to provide her family with healthcare, purchase food for them, and do home repairs.

Thank you for supporting Adanech Fitebo's farming business through World Vision Micro. Adanech invested her small business loan of $175 into buying fertilizer for increasing the productivity of her crops.

She has made weekly payments of $3, and has now fully repaid her loan.

With the profits from her business, Adanech decided to provide healthcare, purchase food for them, and do home repairs.

Adanech's goal for the future is to earn enough so she can continue sending her children to school, expand her current business, and repair farm equipment.

Adanech's four children remain in school. Because of your donation, Adanech is able to provide a better future for her four children.
