living in the rural area of Ethiopia has gained father of five, Cherinet Menore, a rich education in agriculture. Cherinet is a strong farmer who is struggling to overcome the challenges in his life. He is dedicated to improving his life and his family's. He would like to improve his farm, but financial constraints has not allowed him, especially to the level he wants.
With a loan from World Vision, Cherinet will be able to provide the local markets with various types of crops. The income he generates will enable him to send his children to a good school. On top of that, he will have the means to start a dairy farm that will provide the community with milk and milk products.
The Agriculture business sector covers all farming and livestock activities. Some entrepreneurs request loans to help in securing supplies and equipment. Others want to buy more animals to breed or purchase feed and medicines. The majority of our loan clients live in rural communities where agriculture is already understood as a business model. It is for this reason that approximately 50% of our loans are in the agricultural sector.
