Cherinet's Story

living in the rural area of Ethiopia has gained father of five, Cherinet Menore, a rich education in agriculture. Cherinet is a strong farmer who is struggling to overcome the challenges in his life. He is dedicated to improving his life and his family's. He would like to improve his farm, but financial constraints has not allowed him, especially to the level he wants.

With a loan from World Vision, Cherinet will be able to provide the local markets with various types of crops. The income he generates will enable him to send his children to a good school. On top of that, he will have the means to start a dairy farm that will provide the community with milk and milk products.

Industry Info

The Agriculture business sector covers all farming and livestock activities. Some entrepreneurs request loans to help in securing supplies and equipment. Others want to buy more animals to breed or purchase feed and medicines. The majority of our loan clients live in rural communities where agriculture is already understood as a business model. It is for this reason that approximately 50% of our loans are in the agricultural sector.

Thank you for partnering with World Vision Micro to provide Cherinet Menore with a small loan for his farming business. Cherinet used his loan of $175 to buy fertilizer for a maximum yield at harvest. He continues to make weekly payments of $3 on time.

With the profits he has earned from his growing business, Cherinet is able to provide healthcare, do home repairs and purchase food for his family.

Cherinet's five children continue to study in school. Thanks to Cherinet's hard work, he will be able to provide a brighter future for his children.

Thank you for supporting Cherinet Menore's vegetable farming business through World Vision Micro. Cherinet invested his small business loan of $175 to buy fertilizer for a maximum yield at harvest. He has made weekly payments of $3 and has now fully repaid his loan.

With the profits from his business, Cherinet decided to provide healthcare, do home repairs and purchase food for his family. Cherinet's goal for the future is to earn enough so that he can start a new business, expand his current business and take out another loan.

Cherinet's five children remain in school. Because of your donation, Cherinet is able to provide a better future for his children.
