Your gift to help a hardworking entrepreneur will double in impact thanks to a generous World Vision partner.
Michce is from Ethiopia. She has 4 children. She needs a loan of $250 to buy more grain during this harvest season for sale later when the supply shrinks.
Miche is a mother of four children. She makes her living from small farming that she does along with her family. She also sells grain. Her present financial situation does not allow her to buy grain in larger quantities.
A World Vision micro loan will help Miche purchase more grain to sell in the local market to supplement her farming activities. She also wants to own a bigger grain store and to buy a bull for fattening and selling for profit.
The additional income will help Miche better feed and clothe her family.
In areas where the poor live alongside the more affluent, businesses in the service sector can be very successful. Services include flower cultivation, tailoring/sewing, transportation, repair work, beauty salons and barber shops, and restaurants. Loans are needed to begin, expand, or sustain business with tools and supplies. Loans given to entrepreneurs in the service sector account for around 7% of our loans.
