Girma's Story

Girma raises sheep and also farms crops. He hopes this World Vision micro loan will enable him to buy more sheep and expand his business. Times have been hard and his business has been restricted due to financial problems. Now he hopes to see his business grow, have more customers, and increase his income. In the future, he has also a dream of supplying a number of sheep to the local market for more income. This will help provide food for his community.

As the father of three children, Girma works hard to earn a living and provide the basics for his family, who work with him in the fields. But he really wants to improve their standard of living.

The Agriculture business sector covers all farming and livestock activities. Some entrepreneurs request loans to help in securing supplies and equipment. Thank you for supporting a small business loan for Girma Yimer to expand his farming and livestock business where he raises sheep. After receiving the loan from World Vision, he invested the $175 to buy more sheep.

Girma has been repaying his loan on time with his new profits. He makes weekly payments of $3.

In addition to repaying his loan, Girma is using the additional income to purchase food for the family, expand the current business and provide healthcare. Girma's 3 children continue to study in school.
