He is skilled at raising sheep and wants his business to strengthen, but he is short of cash to buy more sheep. A loan from World Vision will help him expand his flock.
The local people enjoy Delelegn’s sheep, and he hopes his business continues to grow so more people have access to it. He wishes to someday buy bulls to fatten and hybridized cows for milk.
Delelegn is married with three children, and he hopes to improve his family’s lifestyle. “The increased income will go towards giving my children a healthy diet,” he said.
The Agriculture business sector covers all farming and livestock activities. Some entrepreneurs request loans to help in securing supplies and equipment. Others want to buy more animals to breed or purchase feed and medicines. The majority of our loan clients live in rural communities where agriculture is already understood as a business model. It is for this reason that approximately 50% of our loans are in the agricultural sector.
