Channaku's Story

Channaku is a farmer who is also entering the cattle fattening industry, since he cannot earn enough from his crops to provide for his large family. A loan from World Vision will help Channaku start his cattle raising business by allowing him to purchase food and medicine for the cattle.

Channaku's cattle raising business will be a dependable source of income that will help him provide for his seven children. He plans to sell his cattle as meat at the local market, especially during the busy seasons before holidays like Christmas and Easter.

The Agriculture business sector covers all farming and livestock activities. Some entrepreneurs request loans to help in securing supplies and equipment. Others want to buy more animals to breed or purchase feed and medicines. The majority of our loan clients live in rural communities where agriculture is already understood as a business model. Thank you for supporting a small business loan for Channaku Fayisa to expand his farming, food, and livestock business where he fattens cattle. After receiving the loan from World Vision, he invested the $150 to buy food and medicine for his cattle.

Channaku has been repaying his loan on time with his new profits. He makes weekly payments of $6. In addition to repaying his loan, Channaku is using additional income to purchase food for the animals, purchase food for the family, and provide healthcare. Channaku's 7 children continue to study in school.

Channaku

Thank you for supporting the small loan for Channaku Fayisa to improve his livestock business. He invested his loan of $150 to buy food and medicine for his cattle.

Channaku has now repaid his loan in full. In addition to repaying his loan, Channaku has used his additional income to do home repairs and purchase food for his family.

Channaku's child continues to study in school.

The loan Channaku received helped his business expand and the profits he is earning is creating lasting improvements in his life. In the future, Channaku hopes to purchase livestock and add employees to help him run his farm.
