In order to support her family, Florence sells sacks of charcoal in her community. However, as of late her greatest challenge is not having the necessary capital to properly run her business and meet all of her family's needs.
With a loan from World Vision Florence will be able to purchase additional charcoal, which will boost her available stock to the place she needs it in order to increase her sales. This will give her the income she needs to reinvest in her business and watch it grow. In the future, Florence hopes that she will be able to hire someone else from her community to help her run her business.
Florence knows that this opportunity will improve her entire life, and hopes that it will allow her to become financially stable. Stability will allow her to better support her four children and give her family the hope of a brighter future.
Retail is a quick and scalable way to begin earning a profit. Many entrepreneurs begin with stalls at markets or even at home and need a loan to expand or increase their inventory. Others may be ready to open a small store. Goods purchased from loan funds range from clothing, grocery or sundry items to jewelry, candy, perfume or health and beauty supplies. Loans in the commerce sector account for around 33% of our loans.
