Vardan is from Armenia. He needs a loan of $1,475 to purchase beehives.
Vardan is a beekeeper from Armenia who lives with his mother in order to support her in her old age. He started his business a few years ago and has been able to create a good client base to which he can sell his products.
However, in order to expand his business, Vardan needs the financial assistance from World Vision to invest in new beehives. With these new hives, he will be able to increase his working capital and develop his beekeeping methods so as to bring in more income.
The extra income from his new beehives will help Vardan's family to remain stable and improve their quality of life through increased daily food consumption and better living conditions.
The Agriculture business sector covers all farming and livestock activities. Some entrepreneurs request loans to help in securing supplies and equipment. Others want to buy more animals to breed or purchase feed and medicines. The majority of our loan clients live in rural communities where agriculture is already understood as a business model. It is for this reason that approximately 50% of our loans are in the agricultural sector.
