Ashot is from Armenia. He has 2 children. He needs a loan of $975 to purchase livestock.
Ashot Galstyan lives in Meghri with his wife and two children. He farms and also cares for his herd of cattle. He would like to increase the number of livestock he is raising in order to increase his income from farming.
As Ashot purchases and raises more livestock, his business income will be enough to sustain his family and to pay for his children’s education, in the present and in the future.
The Agriculture business sector covers all farming and livestock activities. Some entrepreneurs request loans to help in securing supplies and equipment. Others want to buy more animals to breed or purchase feed and medicines. The majority of our loan clients live in rural communities where agriculture is already understood as a business model. It is for this reason that approximately 50% of our loans are in the agricultural sector.

Thank you for empowering Ashot Galstyan with the opportunity to expand his farming and livestock business. With the $975 loan Ashot was able to purchase more livestock.
Ashot is on his way to repaying his small business loan, as he makes weekly payments of $7. Thanks to the profits he has earned, Ashot can afford to purchase food for the animals and pay for transportation.
Ashot hopes to provide his children with a brighter future and his two children continue to study in school.
