Vardan is from Armenia. He needs a loan of $1,475 to purchase livestock.
Vardan, a father of one from Davit Bek, Armenia, is engaged in farming and agriculture. Agriculture is the family’s main source of income, but it is not enough to make ends meet. He currently does not have the capital needed to expand his business and generate more income as he would like. Vardan lives together with his wife and little daughter.
With a loan through World Vision, Vardan will be able to purchase more livestock to expand his farm and generate more income. Additional income created will allow him to reinvest in his business and provide for his family through meeting their daily needs.
In the future, Vardan hopes to keep expanding his business and be financially stable.
The Agriculture business sector covers all farming and livestock activities. Some entrepreneurs request loans to help in securing supplies and equipment. Others want to buy more animals to breed or purchase feed and medicines. The majority of our loan clients live in rural communities where agriculture is already understood as a business model. It is for this reason that approximately 50% of our loans are in the agricultural sector.
