Vincent earns a living by selling cosmetics and related products. He has the desire to improve living conditions for himself and his family, but lacks the capital he needs to grow his business. He wants to make his business more profitable so he can have more financial stability in the future.
With a loan from World Vision, Vincent plans to increase his inventory of cosmetics and other products. With the additional income he will earn from this improvement, he plans to reinvest in his business and eventually be able to offer jobs to others in his community. He also hopes to start saving for the future.
Retail is a quick and scalable way to begin earning a profit. Many entrepreneurs begin with stalls at markets or even at home and need a loan to expand or increase their inventory. Others may be ready to open a small store. Goods purchased from loan funds range from clothing, grocery or sundry items to jewelry, candy, perfume or health and beauty supplies. Loans in the commerce sector account for around 33% of our loans.
