Julia is a small-scale farmer who wants to expand the size of her farming business. The roads near Julia are very poor, which makes transporting her goods difficult. She also lacks capital.
Julia’s goal is to have the maximum yield from her farm and to make her business self-sustaining. Julia’s family is not in a stable position right now. She hopes that this loan will help to improve the living conditions of her children and of her entire family.
The Agriculture business sector covers all farming and livestock activities. Some entrepreneurs request loans to help in securing supplies and equipment. Others want to buy more animals to breed or purchase feed and medicines. The majority of our loan clients live in rural communities where agriculture is already understood as a business model. It is for this reason that approximately 50% of our loans are in the agricultural sector.
