Your gift to help a hardworking entrepreneur will double in impact thanks to a generous World Vision partner.
Jum is from Cambodia. She needs a loan of $125 to increase her rice cultivation.
Jum grows rice and vegetables. She also provides a battery charging service in her village. Recently, public electricity became available in the area so Jum’s battery charging business has declined.
With a loan from World Vision, Jum is able to invest more money in her farm to make up for the loss of income from her battery charging business. She will increase the amount of rice that she grows to increase her revenue. With the additional income, she will be able to provide for her family’s expenses and reduce their hardships.
The Agriculture business sector covers all farming and livestock activities. Some entrepreneurs request loans to help in securing supplies and equipment. Others want to buy more animals to breed or purchase feed and medicines. The majority of our loan clients live in rural communities where agriculture is already understood as a business model. It is for this reason that approximately 50% of our loans are in the agricultural sector.
There is no community update available at this time.
Jum used her loan to purchase more rice seed. She is confident that she will have a bountiful harvest and earn a good profit. Jum looks forward to improving her family's lifestyle and paying for her four children's education. She is making her loan payments on time.

Thank you for supporting the small loan for Jum Neak to improve her farming and food business. She invested her loan of $125 to increase her rice cultivation.
Jum has now repaid her loan in full. In addition to repaying her loan, Jum has used her additional income to purchase food for the animals and expand the current business.
Jum's four children continue to study in school.
The loan Jum received helped her business expand and the profits she is earning create lasting improvements in her life. In the future Jum hopes to further expand the business by purchasing additional livestock.
