Your gift to help a hardworking entrepreneur will double in impact thanks to a generous World Vision partner.
Mulunesh is from Ethiopia. She needs a loan of $250 to purchase fertilizer and seeds.
Mulunesh is the mother of seven children and makes her living by growing vegetables. She enjoys her job and says, “There is a demand for my crops. I want to keep on doing my business so I can get more income.” Currently, she cannot add additional crops because of the lack of funds. A micro loan from World Vision will enable her to purchase seeds and fertilizer so that she can increase her crop yield.
When her income increases, she will be able to provide nutritious food, clothing, medical care, and an education for her children so they can live a better life.
In the future, she would like to purchase some cattle to raise.
The Agriculture business sector covers all farming and livestock activities. Some entrepreneurs request loans to help in securing supplies and equipment. Others want to buy more animals to breed or purchase feed and medicines. The majority of our loan clients live in rural communities where agriculture is already understood as a business model. It is for this reason that approximately 50% of our loans are in the agricultural sector.
