Ndie's Story

Ndie Nchoe is a father of eight children, he lives with his family in Narok, a rural part of Kenya. Ndie owns and operates a cattle trading business within his local community, to help earn a living for his family. At this time, Ndie lacks the funds needed to purchase more animals for for his trading business.

With a loan from World Vision, Ndie will be able to purchase more animals to continue with his cattle trading business. Because of the loan, Ndie will be able to expand his business, creating job opportunities for others within his community and increasing his income. With the additional income, Ndie will be able to provide for all of his family's daily needs and pay for his childrens education.

Industry Info

The Agriculture business sector covers all farming and livestock activities. Some entrepreneurs request loans to help in securing supplies and equipment. Others want to buy more animals to breed or purchase feed and medicines. The majority of our loan clients live in rural communities where agriculture is already understood as a business model. It is for this reason that approximately 50% of our loans are in the agricultural sector.

Ndie

Ndie Nchoe has successfully repaid his small business loan. He invested the $500 for his animal trading business.

Thanks to the loan that he received, Ndie was able to use the profits from his business to pay his children's school fees, expand his current business and provide his family with healthcare. In the future, Ndie aspires to earn enough to expand his current business, take out another loan and purchase livestock.

Ndie's three children continue to study in school. Because he was able to invest in his business, he will be able to invest in his family.

Ndie cleared his loan despite his animals' illnesses.
