Almaz is from Ethiopia. She needs a loan of $175 to expand her business.
Almaz, a mother of one, is a strong woman who owns a small bakery where she bakes and sells bread for a living to support her family. She believes that if she continues in this business, she can be successful in generating more income. However, due to financial constrants, she is unable to strengthen her business and run it effectively in the way she desires.
A loan from World Vision will enable Almaz to expand her business. As her business grows, she will be able to generate more income, allowing her to improve her family's living conditions. “I can provide my family with a healthy diet. I can send them to school. I can cover the expenses for their clothing,” she said. Additionally, the locals in her area will also benefit. “As my business grows, I also hope to help one person by creating job opportunity in my community,” she said.
In the future, Almaz hopes to open up a small cafeteria in her area as well.

Examples of businesses in the manufacturing sector are making and selling clothes, shoes, machine parts, baskets…the list goes on.
