Pang Savouren is a mother of four children, she lives with her family in Battambong Province. Pang works very hard farming soybeans and peanuts, to help provide for her family. At this time, Pang lacks the funds needed to maintain her farmland and grow her crops.
With a loan from World Vision, Pang will be able to purchase fertilizer, pesticides, seeds and an irrigation system for her farming business. Pang will also be able to grow healthy crops of peanuts and soybeans to sell to the local markets for profit. Because of the loan, she'll be able to grow her business and increase her income. With the additional income, Pang will be able to provide better living conditions for her family, provide for their daily needs and pay for her childrens education.
The Agriculture business sector covers all farming and livestock activities. Some entrepreneurs request loans to help in securing supplies and equipment. Others want to buy more animals to breed or purchase feed and medicines. The majority of our loan clients live in rural communities where agriculture is already understood as a business model. It is for this reason that approximately 50% of our loans are in the agricultural sector.
