En's Story

En Ngeab is a mother of six children, she lives with her family in Battambong Province. En works very hard farming rice and raising chickens, to help provide for her family. En at this time lacks the funds needed to sustain her rice farming and chicken raising business.

With a loan from World Vision, En will be able to purchase fertilizer for her rice field and feed for her chickens. Because of the loan, En will be able to produce healthy crops of rice and healthy chickens to sell for profit. She'll be able to grow her business and increase her income. With the additional income, En will be able to provide for her family's daily needs and pay for her childrens education.

Industry Info

The Agriculture business sector covers all farming and livestock activities. Some entrepreneurs request loans to help in securing supplies and equipment. Others want to buy more animals to breed or purchase feed and medicines. The majority of our loan clients live in rural communities where agriculture is already understood as a business model. It is for this reason that approximately 50% of our loans are in the agricultural sector.

Thank you for supporting a small business loan for En Ngeab to expand her farming business. After receiving the loan from World Vision, she invested the $250 to purchase fertilizer and chicken feed.

En has been repaying her loan on time with her new profits. She makes weekly payments of $5.

In addition to repaying her loan, En is using her income to purchase fertilizer and expand her current business.

En's six children continue to study in school.
