Enanu, a mother of one, is a farmer who raises sheep for a living. She takes very good care of her sheep and when they are grown up, she takes them to the market and sells them for a profit. Enanu sees the market potential of her business and wants to take the opportunity to maximize her income. However, she lacks the financial capital she needs to strengthen her business and run it effectively.
With a World Vision loan Enanu will be able to expand her business by buying more sheep for raising. The additional income will enable her to provide her child with a healthier diet and a good education. In the future, Enanu plans to participate in other business sectors like cattle fattening as well in order to generate more profit.
The Agriculture business sector covers all farming and livestock activities. Some entrepreneurs request loans to help in securing supplies and equipment. Others want to buy more animals to breed or purchase feed and medicines. The majority of our loan clients live in rural communities where agriculture is already understood as a business model.
