Asefawesen is from Ethiopia. He needs a loan of $175 to buy sheep and eventually cattle for fattening and milk production.
Asefawesen lives in Mehal Meda in northern Ethiopia. He raises sheep for a living in order to send his five children to school.
With a loan from World Vision, Asefawesen will be able to buy more sheep to provide milk and milk products for local people. Eventually he wants to buy cattle for fattening and hybridized cows for greater milk production and to support his family better.
The Agriculture business sector covers all farming and livestock activities. Some entrepreneurs request loans to help in securing supplies and equipment. Others want to buy more animals to breed or purchase feed and medicines. The majority of our loan clients live in rural communities where agriculture is already understood as a business model. It is for this reason that approximately 50% of our loans are in the agricultural sector.
