Marisol's Story

Marisol is 28 years old, married with two children: Estefania and Leonardo. She has been selling perfumes and shoes for 9 years. She chose this business because shoes and pefumes are popular products that local people purchase in her community.

A World Vision microloan will allow Marisol to restock her rented store with catalogs, shoes, sneekers, sandals, high heels, perfumes, deodorants and lotions. A larger stock, with more variety, will help her be competitive and increase her sales. Marisol wants to build an establishment to open her own shoe store when she is financially able to afford the investment.

The additional income will give her children the opportunity to attend university, which is important to Marisol. Any savings will be used to keep investing in her retail business to ensure her family's livlihood.
