Yolanda's Mid Term Update November 03, 2010

Yolanda

Mrs. Yolanda sells over the counter medicines like aspirin, alka-seltzer, and saline solutions among others. During the summer season she sells a lot of saline solutions, since people use it to rehydrate themselves.

She says that before getting the loan she was a housewife. Now things are better, because she can buy whatever she needs without having to depend so much on her husband.

She used the loan to purchase more merchandise and to stock up her store. She has been able to get ahead with her family and provide a better quality of life for her children. She wants them to become dependable and trustworthy people in the future when they grow up.

She would like to open a pharmacy in the near future, and to have her own locale. Right now she's renting the place where she is at, and this takes away from her profits.

With her income, she will continue getting ahead with her children, and she would like to save some money to buy things she needs for her house. She also wants to keep on buying merchandise for her store so that the people in her community won't have to go all the way to the center of town to get what they need.

Yolanda's Final Update January 12, 2011

Yolanda

Mrs. Yolanda says, "The loan helped me a lot because I invested it into my business to buy the products for my store."

"I tried to save some money from my profits to continue investing into more merchandise. Fortunately, people always need aspirin, toothpaste, or flu medications, and I love helping them."

"The loan has not only helped my family and my business, but it has also helped my community. Now, people can find a greater variety of products. The loan has also helped my family, and now I can pay for the household expenses and for the costs of my daughter's university education."

"I paid the loan in full. I believe that if someone trusts on you, you need to be responsible with the trust that you've been given."

"Thanks for believing in people like me. I believe that if everybody does their part to help, the world can change."

In the photo she appears with her daughter.
