Khorn's Story

Khorn Heng grows rice and raises chickens in the Kampung Chhnang Province of Cambodia. Last season, her crops did not produce a very good yield. Furthermore, the price of rice products decreased around harvest time so she is having trouble finding the money to begin a new growing season.

With a loan, she will have enough capital to fulfill the needs of her farm and increase her family's income. She would like to increase the amount of land that she cultivates. She knows that her farm would be successful if she had enough fertilizer and water for irrigation. With the financial security from the loan and a good harvest, Khorn will be able to send her children to school and contribute to society.
