Providing for her two children is Phany Chem's main goal. Her family depends on the income she generates from her store. Phany would like to increase her income by expanding her store and purchasing a wider variety of grocery items that will attract more customers, but due to a lack of money she has not been able to.
The loan from World Vision will enable Phany to grow her business. The income she generates will allow her to reinvest in her business, better provide for her children, and ensure they are able to receive an education.
Retail is a quick and scalable way to begin earning a profit. Many entrepreneurs begin with stalls at markets or even at home and need a loan to expand or increase their inventory. Others may be ready to open a small store. Goods purchased from loan funds range from clothing, grocery or sundry items to jewelry, candy, perfume or health and beauty supplies.
