Soklang sells groceries and her husband is a factory worker. She does not have the money to stock her grocery store, which has resulted in her not being able to sustain her business. She has not been able to keep her children in school.
A World Vision microloan will allow Soklang to buy the groceries she needs to restock her store and begin earning profits. She also wants to expand her grocery business by having the ability to buy more types of groceries for sale in the future.
The additiional income will allow her family's living conditions and diet to improve; her children can return to school. She can participate in more community activities to help grow her customer base.
The Agriculture business sector covers all farming and livestock activities. Some entrepreneurs request loans to help in securing supplies and equipment. Others want to buy more animals to breed or purchase feed and medicines. The majority of our loan clients live in rural communities where agriculture is already understood as a business model. It is for this reason that approximately 50% of our loans are in the agricultural sector.
There is no community update available at this time.
