Mao's Story

Mao Vouern is a farmer in the Banteay Meanchey Province. Recently, the market price of her crops decreased so much that it is not worth harvesting and selling the crops. With the poor income she would earn from the harvest, she would not have enough money to pay workers to harvest her crops and to support her family.

With a loan from World Vision, Mao will be able to get her business back on track. She will have enough money to run her farm and to pay other basic daily expenses. She hopes to increase the size of her farm and to raise more pigs. The income increase will improve her family's living conditions and enable her to send her three children to school.
