Kim's Story

A mother of three children, Kim makes a living by farming and raising animals. She would like to expand her business but she lacks the capital to do so.

A loan from World Vision will enable Kim to buy more pigs to raise on her farm. With the profits she earns she hopes to better provide for the basic needs of her family and to send her children to school. In addition to this, Kim and her family will be able to participate more in their community.

Industry Info

The Agriculture business sector covers all farming and livestock activities. Some entrepreneurs request loans to help in securing supplies and equipment. Others want to buy more animals to breed or purchase feed and medicines. The majority of our loan clients live in rural communities where agriculture is already understood as a business model. It is for this reason that approximately 50% of our loans are in the agricultural sector.

Thank you for supporting a small business loan for Kim Sak to expand her farming and livestock business. After receiving the loan from World Vision, she invested the $250 to buy pigs to raise.

Kim has been repaying her loan on time with her new profits. She makes weekly payments of $4.

In addition to repaying her loan, Kim is using the additional income to purchase food for the family and expand the current business. Kim's 3 children continue to study in school.

Kim

Kim Sak has successfully repaid her small business loan. She invested the $250 for her farming and livestock business.

Thanks to the loan that she received, Kim was able to use the profits from her business to purchase food for her family and provide them with healthcare. In the future, Kim aspires to earn enough to send her children to school and repair or expand their home.

Kim's three children continue to study in school. Because she was able to invest in her business, she will be able to invest in her family.
