A mother of one child, Sarin makes a living by farming and raising animals. She would like to expand her farming business but she lacks the capital to do so.
With a loan from World Vision Sarin will be able to expand her business and to run it more effectively. She plans to use the funds to buy more pigs for raising. With the profits Sarin hopes to better provide for the basic needs of her family. Specifically she would like to send her child to school. In addition to this, Sarin and her family would be able to participate more in their community.
The Agriculture business sector covers all farming and livestock activities. Some entrepreneurs request loans to help in securing supplies and equipment. Others want to buy more animals to breed or purchase feed and medicines. The majority of our loan clients live in rural communities where agriculture is already understood as a business model. It is for this reason that approximately 50% of our loans are in the agricultural sector.
