Bunry farms and sells vegetables. Due to lack of available money, she has not been able to protect her vegetables from attack by insects. This has resulted in low market prices.
This World Vision loan will provide funds for her to improve her business. In the future, she wants to dig a pond for irrigation. She also hopes to raise some animals.
Some of Bunry’s other family members are a teacher and factory worker. Better income will improve her family’s quality of life, especially as it enables her 5 children to attend school.
The Agriculture business sector covers all farming and livestock activities. Some entrepreneurs request loans to help in securing supplies and equipment. Others want to buy more animals to breed or purchase feed and medicines. The majority of our loan clients live in rural communities where agriculture is already understood as a business model. It is for this reason that approximately 50% of our loans are in the agricultural sector.
