Saman is from Cambodia. She has 2 children. She needs a loan of $325 to buy a water pump and pesticides .
Saman grows many kinds of vegetables to sell at market and support her family. But due to lack of extra money, she has not been able to buy pesticide to keep the insects away from her vegetables. She also needs a water pump to help with irrigating her crops. This World Vision loan allows her to expand her farming which will result in greater profits and help them survive in difficult years.
Saman has 2 children and wants to raise her family’s quality of life. Improving her farm’s income will also allow her to spend more time with her family. She is committed to continue to support her children’s education, knowing that it is the best way to improve their future.
The Agriculture business sector covers all farming and livestock activities. Some entrepreneurs request loans to help in securing supplies and equipment. Others want to buy more animals to breed or purchase feed and medicines. The majority of our loan clients live in rural communities where agriculture is already understood as a business model. It is for this reason that approximately 50% of our loans are in the agricultural sector.
