Bory is from Cambodia. She needs a loan of $350 to vaccinate and buy more pigs.
Bory, the mother of three, is a hardworking farmer and fishmonger; she also raises pigs. Due to lack of money, she cannot vaccinate her pigs to ensure they are healthy for market. She also wants to expand her business and buy more pigs in the future.
A World Vision micro loan will allow her to buy more pigs and protect them through vaccination so she can offer quality products to her customers.
The additional income will give Bory's family sufficient food and better living conditions. Her children will be able to attend school.
The Agriculture business sector covers all farming and livestock activities. Some entrepreneurs request loans to help in securing supplies and equipment. Others want to buy more animals to breed or purchase feed and medicines. The majority of our loan clients live in rural communities where agriculture is already understood as a business model. It is for this reason that approximately 50% of our loans are in the agricultural sector.
