Sokhom's Story

Sokhom supports her family by farming. She is highly motivated to improve her farm, but she lacks the capital needed for the necessary investments. Her farm is in need of proper irrigation and improved farming methods. She wants to make her business more profitable so she can provide a better life for her family.

A loan from World Vision will allow Sokhom to purchase an irrigation pump. She also plans to learn proper techniques for using fertilizer and pesticides. With the additional income she will earn from these improvements, she will be able to provide her family’s daily necessities and send her two children to school regularly. In the future, Sokhom wants to open a store where she will sell groceries, fertilizer, and pesticides.
