Abebe is from Ethiopia. He needs a loan of $175 to expand his soft drink selling business.
Abebe is a hardworking person who owns a small shop where he sells soft drinks for a living. He is striving to improve his life. “I have to work hard and get more income. I am happy with my business. By generating additional income, I want to cover all expenses,” he said.
Abebe has a growing number of customers and would like to expand his business to be more competitive in the market. However, due to financial constraints, he cannot run his business effectively in the way he desires.
With a loan from World Vision Abebe will be able to expand his soft drink selling business. This will allow him to increase his customer base, generate more income, and create job opportunities for his friends. With the additional profits, he will be able to provide his family with the things they need.
In the future, Abebe dreams of opening another shop or two in his town.
Retail is a quick and scalable way to begin earning a profit. Many entrepreneurs begin with stalls at markets or even at home and need a loan to expand or increase their inventory. Others may be ready to open a small store. Goods purchased from loan funds range from clothing, grocery or sundry items to jewelry, candy, perfume or health and beauty supplies. Loans in the commerce sector account for around 33% of our loans.
