Phalla's Story

In addition to farming to help provide for her two children, Phalla Morm is a skilled silk weaver who wants to expand her business to create and sell her own products directly in the market, instead of selling piecework to manufactures who pay low prices. Due to a lack of funds, she has not been able to purchase additional silk to expand her small business.

With a loan from World Vision, Phalla will be able to purchase additional silk to create silk products and grow her business. The additional income will enable Phalla to provide an education as well as better living conditions for her two children. In addition, her new business will also promote economic growth within her community.
