The Jackson clan is delighted to help fund this shop keeper in the Philippines. Paul's mother was born in the Philippines and so we have a fondness for this part of the world and people who live there. We pray that this business will thrive and hope others will join in making this loan possible. Happy New Year everyone!
Merry Christmas to our family -- we hope you enjoy knowing this loan was made in your name as a Christmas gift to help others who have so much less than we do, but are working hard to make their lives and the lives of their neighbors better.
Funding a micro loan for a business allows a person to not only become self sufficient, but restores their dignity in the process.
The Bevin family takes delight and is thankful this Christmas season to support a young woman and her family purchase and raise pigs to sell. We are blessed to be part of a church family for whom this is a priority.
Our son, Brad, works for the Vision Fund, promoting micro-loans through marketing and communications. We welcome this opportunity to support World Vision and its micro-finance program. We are donating funds in the names of loved ones as Christmas gifts.
We love the idea of bringing folks the tools they need to develop their own business and become entrepreneurs and acting encourge their neighbors that it is possible to defeat poverty.
Our friends were just in Rwanda working with the Women and Children at Risk (part of YWAM) ministry. How blessed we are to give a donation that will directly help a woman and her family grow a business there. This is a wonderful way to give!
What a great plan. We love giving and knowing specifically how the money is being used.
Tally and Gail Hall love this idea - the gift that keeps giving......
We are incredibly excited and humbled to be able to participate in this program. Kirk's grandmother was a christian and a seamstress who at the age of 95 made Chris' wedding gown. We have contributed to a loan to a seamstress in Mexico so she can buy a sewing machine to allow her to use her skills to contribute to her family's income. Way cool! Our prayer is that she & her family will know that this gift is really from our Lord Jesus!!
Micro lending is such an exciting concept, especially since my repaid donation will be used to fund more loans. This is truly helping people help themselves. I'm inspired!
can we send nail polish?
The Toones are thrilled to be a part of supporting hard working entrepreneurs who want to work their way out of poverty! What a great idea.
tacos and toe nail polish...sounds like a true convenience store!
I love the idea of micro-loans! It is great to know we can actually help someone else provide a good life for their family.
Now that's creative - tortillas and beauty services!
