A New Year and Day of Prayer

Prayer is a part of World Vision's projects worldwide, as depicted last year at our Children of War Rehabilitation Center in Gulu, northern Uganda. [Warren/World Vision

This Friday, October 1st, is World Vision‘s annual Day of Prayer and Action where we commit to praying and advocating for justice for the poor. Around the globe, in over 100 countries, World Vision staff and volunteers are closing offices to start our new year in prayer.

Specifically, we are praying:

For children and families affected by global poverty, injustice, and human suffering
For wisdom and strength for lawmakers and their staff
For legislation that can positively impact the poor

We will also be praying specifically for our Microfinance institutions around the world, and the many entrepreneurs we serve.

Over the next couple of days we will post their prayer requests here on our. Won’t you join us in prayer?
